School District Overview:
Greenwood Community School Corporation served 3,865 students during the 2008-2009 school year. The district consists of four elementary schools that provide education for students in kindergarten through the fifth grade; one middle school for students in the sixth through eighth grades; and one high school for students in the ninth through twelfth grades.
ISTEP scores for the Greenwood Community School Corporation are consistently higher than the state average. And the district focuses strongly on reading, writing, and math in its regular curriculum. Greenwood Community School Corporation also provides other types of learning environments for those interested in publications, performing arts, fine arts, athletics, and volunteer opportunities.
