School District Overview:
The Brownsburg Community School District served 7,225 students during the 2008-2009 school year. The district consists of six elementary schools that provide education for students in kindergarten through the fifth grade; two middle schools for students in the sixth through eighth grades; and one high school for students in the ninth through twelfth grades. ISTEP scores for the Brownsburg Community School District are consistently higher than the state average.
The Brownsburg Community School District is partnered with the Brownsburg Challenger Learning Center, where the mission is to “inspire curiosity, discovery and the pursuit of lifelong learning.” The Brownsburg Challenger Learning Center provides extracurricular education in the subjects of science, technology, engineering, and math. The center also places emphasis on communication, critical thinking skills, teamwork, and responsible decision-making through its summers camps and Rendezvous with a Comet, Return to the Moon, Voyage to Mars, Encounter Earth, and Micronauts programs.
