The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) is a part of HUD - the part that provides federal mortgage insurance. If a foreclosed home was purchased with a loan insured by the FHA, the lender can file a claim for the balance due on the mortgage. FHA pays the lender's claim, then transfers ownership of the property to HUD, which sells the home.

Fishers Plans New Medical Technology Corridor

What is sure to be a boon when the economy recovers, Fishers today announced plans for a new Medical Technology corridor consisting of over 900 acres at I-69's Exit 10. Town officials are estimating that over 29,000 jobs will be created by attracting health-care businesses, research labs, and college / university satellite campuses.
The site will be located on the northeast side of Fishers between I-69 and Ind. 238. Obviously, this will be a long-term project and nice complement to that burgening area consisting of the new St Vincent hospital and the Hamilton Town Center.
The 900 acress will be divided into five disctrcts with different uses. Most of the area that is currently farmland and homes will be switched to "corporate park".
