Hamilton County Building Permits up 111% in January
Posted by ICON Realty Team on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010 at 9:03am.Last week, we received some great news from the Builders Association of Indianapolis about building permits in Hamilton County. Permits were up 111% in January 2010 compared to 2009. In 2009, builders pulled 53 permits compared to 112 this year.
One of the biggest city gainers was Carmel with a 280% gain from 10 in 2009 to 38 this year. The other big gainer was Noblesville that went from 13 permits to 30 for a 130% gain. Fishers builder permits grew modest 18%.
We have spoken with a few of our builder contacts that say there is still a few weeks left to get a home started so you can take advantage of the home buyer tax credit and STILL have it close by the end of June.
Please contact us anytime if you are intersted in building a new house through out the city.
Here's the data:
| | 2009 | 2010 | Change |
| Carmel / Clay | 10 | 38 | 280% |
